The Ministry of Defence’s Enhanced Learning Credits Scheme (ELC) promotes lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces. The scheme provides financial support for service leavers wishing to undertake recognised qualifications at Level 3 (NEBOSH Certificate-level) or above. For further information on eligibility, please consult the Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service website.
ELC approved providers must meet a set of rigorous requirements. There are around 50 NEBOSH course providers (as of January 2021) approved to the ELC scheme. You can search for a course provider and course on the ELCAS website: Choosing your Learning Provider
Public funding is normally assessed on a case-by-case basis and may vary according to individual, provider, local and national circumstances and scheme-specific eligibility criteria. Please contact the relevant learning partners and/or government agency for the latest information regarding funding schemes and eligibility criteria, which are subject to change.
No liability is accepted by NEBOSH for information provided by external websites or for any decisions made on the basis of information given here.
More information for service leavers considering a NEBOSH qualification can be found here: Service Leavers.
