How do I get my examination paper remarked (Request an Enquiry About Result)?

Modified on Fri, 13 Feb at 12:00 PM

NEBOSH supports the right of learners to enquire about a result and to appeal against the outcome of that enquiry.

Please see the NEBOSH Enquiry About Results policy on our Enquiries About Results (EARs) Page.

If you believe that your result does not match your reasonable expectations, an Enquiry About Result (EAR) must be submitted by the EAR closing date, which is 20 working days from the results notification date of your examination.

There are two types of enquiry available:

Enquiry Type 1: clerical check

This is a clerical check to ensure all parts of the assessment have been marked and that marks have been totalled correctly.

Enquiry Type 2: Re-mark of script

This includes a re-mark of the script by the next level of NEBOSH Examiner.

The fees for a Type 1 and Type 2 EAR are available on the Learner Fees List

To request an EAR you will need to complete the online Enquiry About Results EAR1 application form. Please note that requests received via any other method will not be accepted.

Once you have completed the form, you will be directed to make payment for your request. Fees must be paid on or before the EAR closing date.

NEBOSH will email you to acknowledge receipt of payment, including your EAR outcome date.

If you are experiencing issues with completing the online application form, then please contact NEBOSH at resultsenquiry@nebosh.org.uk.
