How is my overall qualification mark and grade calculated?

Modified on Mon, 16 Feb at 8:51 AM

A learners overall qualification mark can be calculated once they have achieved the pass criteria in all units of the qualification. The marks of each unit are then added together to calculate the learners overall mark.

Once the overall mark has been calculated, the mark will need to be compared to the grade banding of the particular qualification to identify if the learner has achieved a Pass, Credit or Distinction.

The grade bandings can vary depending on the qualification and can be found in the qualification syllabus guide in the Qualification Section, or on the reverse of the learners Unit Results Notification (URN).
