What happens if I have been referred?

Modified on Mon, 16 Feb at 9:11 AM

If you receive your results and contains a 'Refer', this shows that you have not met the pass standard in the examination or assignment.

Referred learners have the opportunity to re-register to resit their written examination or practical assessment (or re-register to re-submit written assignments and projects). The exact rules vary according to the qualification, these can be found in each qualification syllabus guide, that can be found in the Qualification Section under resources.

All examination re-sits must be arranged via an Accredited Learning Partner. NEBOSH are unable to accept examination bookings directly from learners.

You can book your resit with your original Learning Partner or alternatively you can choose to register as an external learner with a different Learning Partner offering examinations, should they be willing to accept you. Please note that if you choose to resit with an alternative Learning Partner, you will need to be able to evidence to them that you have previously studied the course with an Accredited Learning Partner. Please use our Where to study section if you need assistance looking for an Accredited Learning Partner.
