Do Diplomas have a Unit Validity Period?

Modified on Mon, 16 Feb at 10:53 AM

The NEBOSH Diplomas have a five year enrolment period.  A learner's enrolment commences on the date of their first examination registration.

Upon the successful completion of the learner's first assessment, the enrolment date changes to the declaration date of this unit. The successful unit is then given a unit validity. The Unit Validity is 5 years (A unit is valid for five years from the declaration, this is the date printed on the unit certificate).

NEBOSH does appreciate that there are some circumstances that prevent learners from continuing their studies for a period of time.  To allow learners the opportunity to complete their qualification NEBOSH does allow learners to apply for an extension to their unit validity period. These requests are considered on a case by case basis.

All requests for unit validity extensions must be supported by your Learning Partner and must be submitted to NEBOSH by them, so you will need to contact them to discuss your situation.
