Can I apply to extend the enrolment period for my NEBOSH Diploma?

Modified on Mon, 16 Feb at 10:55 AM

The NEBOSH Diplomas have a five year enrolment period.  A learner's enrolment commences on the date of their first examination registration. Upon completion of your first successful unit, your enrolment start dates then becomes the date of the first successful unit. This unit is then valid for 5 years.

Should you be unable to complete your qualification within a five year period, you may be eligible to apply for an extension to a unit’s validity period, through your Learning Partner, if you meet the following criteria:

Your enrolment period must be active and you must have a least one unit with a ‘Pass’ status. The application must be received by NEBOSH no later than 20 working days before the unit is due to expire but no earlier that 12 months before the unit is due to expire. A timetable for completion must be included.

All requests for unit validity extensions must be supported by your Learning Partner and must be submitted to NEBOSH by them, so you will need to contact them to discuss your situation. Please note that work commitments will generally not be accepted as an extenuating circumstance.

Supporting evidence must be provided which shows why the learner was unable to complete the qualification and needs an extension to the validity period of a unit(s) e.g, medical evidence.
